NYX: NYSE Liffe U.S. will launch a family of interest rate futures in 3Q10 in conjunction with the launch of New York Portfolio Clearing (NYPC). Futures will include Eurodollar futures and 2, 5, 10 and 30 year US Treasury futures. Options will be launched by 4Q10.

NYX CFO Michael Geltzeiler said NYX “plans to increase technology and information services revenues to $1bn from current $368 mn by 2015, focusing on co-location, connectivity, managed services and proprietary market data.”

NYX: NYSE Arca Europe achieved an average market share of 1.1% of FTSE 100 during the last week, surpassing the 1% mark for the first time. 

NYX: NYSE Arca options raised its rebates for posting liquidity in premium tier products by 5 cents to 30 cents. ARCA also changed the tiered customer rebates in non-premium penny pilot issues and a reduced the LMM rights fees. NYSE Amex options is introducing a reduced electronic broker dealer rate, a reduced electronic firm rate, tiered pricing for firm proprietary manual trades and the implementation of the Professional Customer designation. NYX EVP of US options Edward Boyle said “pricing is always going to go down, not up.” 

NYX: SmartPool 1Q2010 matched volume increased +106% Q/Q to €1 bn. March matched volume increased +68% M/M to €427 mn.

NASDAQ OMX launched options on the NASDAQ Internet Index.

Tradeweb completed its electronic links to ICE Trust, ICE Europe and CME Clearing that allows its client to fully automate their CDSs workflow on its multi-dealer platform.

ICE was downgraded to “Market Perform” from “Outperform” at Raymond James”. Target price was mantained at $115.

Schwab was initiated with a “Buy” rating at UBS. Target price was set at $24.

SEC Commissioner Luis Aguilar said “the SEC should take a hard look at co-location. I am not sure banning co-location will solve anything because it will just move to the next building or the building after that."

SEC appointed Robert J. Keyes as Associate Regional Director and Chief of Regional Office Operations in the agency's New York Regional Office. Mr. Keyes has been in the SEC since 1996 and was previously an assistant regional director.

Federal Housing Finance Agency, which regulates Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, expects the two agencies to start using a clearinghouse to trade the swaps by year end, as the Wall Street Journal reported.

SEBI shortened the period within which companies can announce their annual financial reports. Asset-liability and solvency position reports must be submitted within six months.
