LSE appointed ex-LCH.Clearnet UK head Patrick Birley to lead the exchange’s new clearing house, according to Financial Times.

SGX will be the world’s first exchange to clear OTC Indonesian coal swaps from November 3, to meet the “needs of price and counterparty risk management in the growing OTC coal swap market”, according to Executive Director Jeremy Ang.

E*Trade reported 3Q10 diluted EPS of $0.03 compared to last year’s loss per share of -$6.74; on revenues of $489m (-15% y/y) and expenses ex-provision for loans losses of $267m (-12% y/y).

JNS reported 3Q10 diluted EPS of $0.18 (+260% y/y, +6% q/q) on revenues of $243.8m (+7% y/y, -2% q/q) and expenses of $186.7m (-6% y/y, -1% q/q). JNS also reported a $0.05 per share operating charge for reimbursements to mutual funds for administrative errors and $0.05 per share non-operating benefit for income tax reserves reversal.
