ICE will launch ICE Low Sulphur Gasoil futures and options on ICE Futures Europe, as well as 13 OTC Low Sulphur Gasoil swaps which will be cleared by ICE Clear Europe, on September 19. The ICE Low Sulphur Gasoil futures contract will be based on a 0.001% sulphur (10ppm) diesel barge specification and will trade from the January 2012 contract and delivery month, to December 2016.
BVMF3 introduced two mini currency futures contracts, including the mini USD contract (WDO) and the mini EUR contract (WEU), and six new currency futures contracts, which include the BRL/NZD contract (NZD), BRL/CHF contract (CHF), BRL/CNY contract (CNY), BRL/TRY contract (TRY), BRL/CLP contract (CLP), and the BRL/ZAR contract (ZAR).
NYPC approved three new clearing members, among which include ABN Amro Clearing Chicago, Citigroup Global Markets, and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith. NYPC now has a total of 13 member firms, with several others in the process of becoming clearing members.
