DB1: Eurex Clearing launched its “Individual clearing Model”, the “first segregation solution offered by a clearing house enabling full legal and operational segregation of all assets” for its non-clearing members at the clearinghouse level, allowing collateral and positions to be transferred immediately in case of a clearing member default.

HKEx is planning to develop a clearinghouse for OTC derivative trades according to the Hong Kong Economic Journal and may seek a Chinese partner for the venture.

PSE plans to offer online trading services for trading participants that can also be offered to investors.

SGX admitted its first Chinese trading member, GF Futures, the 36th trading member of SGX’s derivatives market.

JSE target price was raised to ZAR89 from ZAR83 at Citi, keeping a buy rating.

The SEC and CFTC are seeking public comments on stable value contracts which includes whether such contracts fall under the definition of a swap.

FESE responded to a IOSCO consultation on HFT which stated that it had no consistent negative effects. FESE pointed out that any “failure to fully implement the correct trading venue rules will see a significant number of venues in Europe (…)which are not regulated in the same manner and to the same standards as trading venues”, which will have a negative effect on price formation.
